Dr. Kriss Ghafourpour received his bachelor’s degree in Physiology from UC Davis and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with Honors from the University of the Pacific.
Dr. “KRISS” as he likes being called, Spent Three additional Years after dental school in full time Hospital-based Training focused in Oral Surgery and Anesthesia, as an Intern and Teaching Fellow at the Alameda County Medical Center and the Ohio State University Medical Center.
Dr. Ghafourpour moved to Virginia in March of 2018. He left his position as the Director of Implantology at the Alameda County Medical
Center Department of Surgery, Division of Dentistry, where he was also the Assistant Director of the Advanced Dentistry residency program. He still holds his clinical instructor position for the University of Pacific School of Dentistry.
His teaching experience spans to both dental school students as well as mentoring practitioners in Anesthesia and Surgical techniques. Dr. Ghafourpour has received several awards, including the Dental Society Presidents award and Instructor of the Year From OSU. Dr. Ghafourpour Enjoys Volunteering in the community and has served in the SHERIFF RESERVE FORCES as well as the UNITED STATES COAST GUARD. He is an avid Photographer and loves a variety of Water Sports and Hiking.
